Laying must be performed according to the specified working conditions: see section Working Instructions
maxit, and the maxit Floor Contractor, must be notified no later than 6 weeks in advance of an application for an Aesthetic Floor to this specification. This is necessary in order to assess the pre-existing substrate.
The maxit Quality Assurance System for Aesthetic Floors must be used by Accredited maxit Floor Contractors for all floors according to this specification. See the following section: Quality Assurance System
The main contractor, for each project, must fulfil the pre-conditions according to section Critical Issues.
Neither maxit nor the accredited maxit Floor contractor can be held liable for any damages caused by changes in building structures or structural movements.
The main contractor must ensure that the existing substrate meets the specified requirements (in connection with the products used) regarding surface strength and moisture levels. The main contractor must also ensure that the required application and drying conditions are met for the systems and individual products used.
The main contractor is responsible for building and floor structure load bearing calculations relating to the use of the Aesthetic Floor system
Cleaning and maintenance of the finished floor must be performed according to the instructions described in the Surface Treatments section.
