Main area of application

  • Combination of floor heating system with impact sound reduction properties
  • Rooms with large windows, with nowhere to place a radiator
  • Mainly in residential areas and office buildings


System Description


Tout
= Outdoor temperature
Tair = Indoor temperature. Adjustable for each room separately with room thermostats.
Tfloor = Surface temperature of the floor. Emits the heat to the air.
Twater,in = Incoming water temperature. Start with the warm pipe at the perimeter wall.
Twater, out = Returning water. Twater,in and Twater,out are regulated through Tout and Tair
.
(1) Floor covering:

Any kind of floor covering can be applied.

But a floor covering with good heat distribution properties such as tiles or parquet/laminate is recommended. If tiles are selected, use KM Flex (normal setting) or KM Flex & Fix (fast setting)
(2) Surface slab:

Cement-based Floor 4310 (layer thickness 25 – 50 mm),

Cement-based Floor 4350 (layer thickness 25 – 50mm) or

Calcium sulphate-based Floor 4450 (layer thickness (35 – 70mm)
(3) Dividing layer: Floor 4940 Geotextile
(4/5) Heating plates:

(4) Floor 4900 Railed plate. (1200/600/35mm) aluminium plates embedded in the EPS

(5) Floor 4901 Corner plate. (1200/600/20mm)

aluminium plates fully glued to the EPS
Floor 4902 Adjustment plate (not visible in this picture).(1200/600/20mm) plain EPS plates

(6) Heating pipes: Water-borne heating pipes, Æ 16-17mm
(7) Soft strips: Floor 4960
(8) Optional installation layer: EPS boards or
maxit Lightweight screeds Floor 4515 or Floor 4519
(9) Substrate: e.g. concrete
