Why maxit dB-Floor - general system?

maxit dB-Floor general system is a dB-Floor (impact sound-reducing floor) based on insulation boards that are available as standard such as rock wool, glass wool, step-sound-EPS and some other materials with proven sound properties. This forms the "spring" in the dB system.

maxit's pumpable levelling compound should be poured on top of the boards. This forms the "spring" in the dB system.

Together, the well selected "spring + surface mass" form the most usually used way of reducing impact sound in buildings - a dB-Floor. The surface slab can easily be provided with electrical or water-borne heating.

The general dB-Floor is optimised for meeting new building and renovation requirements regarding sound insulation properties and point load capacity in residential and public premises, such as homes, offices, hotels, hospitals and similar buildings.

The general dB-Floor system is flexible because it uses insulation material that is readily available at any builder merchant in combination with maxit's Europe-wide network of skilled pumping contractors that can pump the maxit levelling compound on top.

If you are regularly struggling with shrinkage cracks, curving slabs or floors that never seem to dry while using competing traditional screeds - try maxit's dB-Floor. Let's make your floor straight, durable and correct at the first attempt!

System Benefits
