Thin Layer System

Why maxit Floor 4950 dB-mat system?

maxit dB-Floor thin layer system is a newly developed system for meeting new building and, especially, renovation requirements, optimised impact sound insulation properties with a minimised build height of the total floor construction.

The system combines fast and high quality installation by maxit floor contractors with long-term factors of the floor such as durability and maintenance. Its unique properties makes it especially interesting in renovation areas with limited build up heights where general impact sound improving methods cannot be installed.

System Benefits

  • High-impact sound improvement with at the same time minimised total construction height.

Meassured impact sound reduction, DL'n,w :

    - With 25 mm levelling compound: 23 dB.

We recommend a minimum layer thickness of 25 mm fibre-reinforced levelling compound. As the Floor 4950 sound floor is only 3.5 mm thick, most premises can be renovated with a total build height of less than 30 mm. This will still attain a good impact sound reduction even when hard floor-coverings such as tiles or linoleum are used.

  • Easy application, material is rolled out
  • Fast installation with maxit´s machinery solution and, therefore, a high application productivity
Free choice of floor covering material (tiles, parquet, carpet) without jeopardising sound values
